The following general admission requirements apply to all students who are interested in declaring a Business Administration major or minor.
Prospective students (not currently accepted to Montclair State University) interested in majoring in Business Administration should take these steps:
Contact the Undergraduate Admission Office for information about applications and general Montclair State University admission requirements
Submit your application for general admission to Montclair State, indicating that you would like to major in Business Administration
Current Montclair State students wishing to major in Business Administration must apply online.
IMPORTANT: You must read this before you apply!
University Policy: When students apply for admission to a major, they will be (1) accepted, (2) conditionally accepted, subject to the satisfactory completion of certain requirements by a specific date, or (3) rejected.
Students who are rejected or who do not satisfactorily complete the specific requirements by the specific date, as noted in their conditional acceptance, may not apply or reapply for admission to that major.
Before you apply, be sure you have (or will have) a 3.0 Cumulative G.P.A. at the time your application is being processed (for example: if you have indicated 'please process after this semester').

*Please note that the Accounting major has a retention policy. Accounting students must maintain a miniumum 2.7 major GPA
**Effective for students coming into the program Fall 2017
Students from any major other than Business who have a minimum 2.75 overall GPA may apply to minor in Business Administration.
