Lillian Gola came to Montclair State University (MSU), Fall of 2014, after completing a 35-year career at Hoffmann La Roche, a multi-national pharmaceutical company, rising from internal audit to an integral position in the company as financial controller supporting global research and development.
Lillian has extensive experience overseeing a variety of financial functions and staff. She has first-hand knowledge of preparing annual budgets and strategic plans and presenting to headquarters management in Switzerland.
She was instrumental in participating in several acquisitions while supporting Research and Development. She was the recipient of the President’s Achievement Award in 2008 for her Acquisition support and also the Tribute to Women in Industry (TWIN) award in 1996 for her outstanding support of the Marketing Division.
She advanced through 10 financial positions of increasing responsibility while at Roche and also managed many complex projects both within and outside the finance domain. She began her career at Coopers and Lybrand working as a Senior Staff Auditor.
Lillian has come full circle, as she is an alumnus of Montclair State University, graduating magna cum laude. She also and earned her MBA from Rutgers University, with a concentration in Finance and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New Jersey.
