Michael Radin has nearly 30 years of business experience spanning the engineering construction, automotive, financial services and residential real estate industries. In addition to being an adjunct professor at Montclair State University, he is also a partner of a real estate development company that builds luxury homes in Essex County, NJ.
Michael has 18 years of investment experience; most recently as Head of Multi-Asset Solutions for Schroders - a UK-based asset management firm, where he structured investment solutions for institutional clients. Prior to joining Schroders, Michael worked at Deutsche Bank’s asset management division where he was head of Pension & Portfolio Solutions. He also served as the Global Head, Quantitative Strategies Product Management Team and was a member of the group’s Senior Management Committee and Global Operating and Risk Committees for Deutsche Bank’s global macro hedge fund strategy. Michael also published several research papers on global macro investing, alternative risk premia, Liability Driven Investing and enterprise risk management.
Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Michael was a Senior Relationship Manager at Morgan Stanley, responsible for representing the firm’s investment capabilities to pension plans and endowments & foundations. While there he was instrumental in developing an alpha transport strategy to enhance the firm’s global asset allocation platform.
Michael began his investment career at Chrysler Motors where he was Senior Manager – Asset Management responsible for asset allocation and strategy, external managers and risk management for the firm’s corporate and pension investments which totaled more that $30 billion.
Educated as a Chemical Engineer, Michael worked as a design and project engineer in the pollution control industry prior to his investment career. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Michigan and an MBA from the Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. In addition Michael is a former Board Member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit and was awarded U.S. patent # 5,265,983.
