Students Develop School of Business Merchandise

Tuesday, April 9th, 2013

School of Business Students from Archana Kumar’s “E-Tailing and Multi-Channel Retailing Strategies” class have been working all semester to design Montclair State University School of Business merchandise to sell online in their virtual storefront. The class, which was developed by Kumar, is specially designed to teach students about the many aspects of online retailing. “I wanted to develop a course that will offer real-life experiences to students,” Kumar stated.

Students in this class have been working together on every aspect of their online store. They have invested money, sourced the merchandise, designed the virtual storefront for the website as well as targeted their demographic through advertising.  The virtual store currently offers five School of Business themed products, which range in price from $8.00 to $34.00. Some of the products include: tee-shirts for ladies and men, eco-friendly water bottles, tote bags as well as product bundles. These items are only available from the E-Tailing and Multi-Channel Retailing Strategies class website and all profits benefit the School of Business Honors Fraternity, Epsilon Delta Epsilon.
