Eric joined the Feliciano School of Business in February 2007 after 8 years as an Academic Advisor in Montclair State’s Center for Academic Advising and Adult Learning.  He brought with him an expertise in counseling and advising a multitude of diverse populations.  His counseling experience includes that of community colleges, adult learners and 4 year private schools.  He is responsible for the Disney International College Program and Feliciano School of Business Convocation.


Ms. Diane E. Freedman

Diane has been with the Feliciano School of Business since June 2009 bringing significant experience in corporate outreach from both the private sector and the University itself.  In 2006, she returned to the University and worked as the Assistant Director of Employer Relations for Montclair State’s Center for Career Services and Cooperative Education. She was the direct contact for employers and responsible for all recruitment programs including the University’s Career Fairs, on-campus interviews, and workshops.  In the late 1980’s, Diane worked as the Cooperative Education Coordinator for the School of Business but left to assist in the development of a computer networking company.  Diane is responsible for the career advising and related programming for all current business students as well as employer outreach.

Maureen has been advising at Montclair State University since 2001.  Before joining the Feliciano School of Business in December 2007, she worked in The Center for Academic Advising and Adult Learning for 7 years as an Academic Advisor.   During her time in CAAAL, she coordinated the Transfer Student Orientation events, and was a liaison for the College of the Arts and the School of Business.   She previously worked for 4 years as an Educational Opportunity Fund Program Counselor at Felician College in Lodi, New Jersey. In addition to overseeing all aspects of Feliciano School of Business advising, she is responsible for our participation in New Student Orientation and our New Transfer Student Orientation Program.


Ms. Mary DeFilippis

Mary came to the Information and Decision Sciences Department in the Feliciano School of Business in 2000 after holding administrative support positions In the Montclair State University Psycho-educational Center and the Educational Opportunity Fund Program.  In 2005 she became the Management and Information Systems Department Administrator.  In addition to directing daily office operations, she served as Academic Advising Coordinator, responsible overseeing training and support to faculty advisers and providing advisement to students in MGIS concentrations.  She represented the MGIS Department at University recruiting functions, New Student Orientations, and Majors Fairs. Mary is now serving as a professional advisor for the School of Business.

Mariah has been working in the Career Services department since 2009.  She conducts individual appointments with students to discuss their internship and job search as well as provides resume development.  In addition to these responsibilities, Mariah conducts presentations to assist students in their career development.
