Tom Blaser recently retired from W.R. Grace, a global specialty chemical company. His role prior to retiring was the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the company.
Prior to joining Grace, Blaser was CFO for the North America business unit of Arysta LifeScience Corporation from 2005 to 2015. Until it was acquired in 2015, Arysta was the largest privately-held global agricultural chemical and life science company. During his tenure, the Company grew sales, earnings and cash flow significantly, both
organically and through mergers and acquisitions, leading to the successful sale of the company in 2008 and again in 2015.
Blaser’s previous experience includes multinational companies such as Allied-Signal and Honeywell International where he held a variety of roles, including accounting, finance, process improvement, strategy and business development. He was also an audit manager for Price Waterhouse Coopers.
In retirement, he continues to focus on investing in and advising early stage companies and mentoring and developing people.
Blaser holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from Montclair State University and his M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia University. He joined Montclair State University’s Business School Advisory Board in 2018.
