Irv has over 35 years experience with EY including 22 years as a partner. Irv primarily serves large complex multinational SEC companies with a focus on consumer products, life sciences, distribution and manufacturing. He has extensive experience in SEC financial reporting and assisting companies with complex business transactions including: mergers and acquisitions; business dispositions; and capital and equity transactions.

Irv has served as the Global Client Service Partner for some of EY's largest clients; he understands how to lead global teams to provide the highest level of client service. He is a proven leader guiding engagement teams with over 650 professionals worldwide. He travels extensively to several countries and understands the  importance of working with different cultures to lead international teams.

He has a great understanding of corporate governance and how companies should operate globally in a regulated environment. He has extensive experience in dealing with c-suit executives, Boards of Directors and Audit Committees.

Irv is a recognized expert in PCAOB auditing standards and has led, or been involved in, many initiatives that focus on emerging audit practices including big data analytics, Audit Committee communications, and Board of Director interactions.  

His industry knowledge includes: retail franchising operations; life science companies; manufacturing and distribution of consumer products; and pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution.

Irv has worked in several EY offices including Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Columbus, OH, and Chicago. He has served as EY’s Area Knowledge Leader and Controls and Audit Methodology Leader in various Regions. Irv has worked on several EY task forces focused on audit innovation and methodology, including a focus on Audit Committee and Board of Director communications.

Irv has been an educational program leader for many of EY’s internal training programs. In addition, he has led many external business round-table sessions, including topics related to SOX 404 implementation and various new accounting standards.
