Montclair State University’s Feliciano School of Business has been recognized as one of top 40 accounting schools by Discover Accounting, an independent, educational resource providing unbiased accounting career information, education options and guides for careers in accounting.
Discover Accounting, which evaluated more than 3,000 colleges and universities and ranked the Feliciano program 31st among U.S. schools, recognized the program’s undergraduate and graduate options and the opportunity for students to connect with prominent companies.
Feliciano School of Business Dean Greg Cant said the ranking reflects the school’s commitment to high-quality curriculum that prepares students for career success.
“Our undergraduate and graduate accounting degree programs link students with industry, offering innovative and industry-leading courses that give students an edge in the job market,” Cant said.
Feliciano School of Business was ranked second among New Jersey universities included on the list of 40 U.S. accounting schools.
Programs recognized by Discover Accounting were chosen for their high quality, affordability, retention rate, graduation rate, return on investment and other factors. Discover Accounting used a proprietary ratings system to rank various college and university's accounting bachelor programs, gathering data for public, private, and for-profit institutions.
The ranking by Discover Accounting was just the latest recognition earned by the school’s accounting program. Feliciano School of Business’ accounting graduate program was among the top 25 in the nation in 2019 according to Best Master’s Program, an online guide tracking traditional and online master’s programs. Rankings took into account cost, salary potential and student reviews of programs.
In addition to a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Feliciano School offers an MS in Accounting, a 5-year combined B.S./M.S. program, and offers graduate accounting certificate programs.
