On November 5th, Feliciano School of Business students participated in the CEO Program launch event.
Eileen Fee, CEO Program Coordinator, kicked off the event by welcoming mentors, student mentees, and guest speakers. James Bartek, a tax partner at WithumSmith + Brown and Montclair State alumnus and member of the Feliciano School of Business Advisory Board, spoke at the virtual meeting. Bartek discussed his post-graduate experience, gave valuable advice on navigating the business world, and encouraged program members to be ambitious and goal-oriented. Bartek is one of the twelve mentors that have volunteered to assist the students in the program. Mentees met their assigned mentors and also engaged in discussions with the group of the other successful and experienced mentors.
Student guest speaker, Ryan Lo, gave insight on his experience with the mentorship program and how it has helped him to grow in his field. This leadership and mentorship program is designed for upper level, highly motivated students within the Feliciano School of Business. Previously known as the Dean’s Accelerator Program, the CEO Program aims to connect students and to provide them with networking opportunities to engage with business and other communities. The close-knit group has been meeting since early September, harboring a sense of community amongst members, connecting committed students to opportunities, and fostering collaboration, while also incorporating new knowledge from presentations led by a series of guest speakers.
