The innovative of the School of Business rises on what once was a parking lot. The six story, $66 million building officially opened to students in fall 2015, offering the latest technology and a learning environment where creativity and analytical thinking will thrive.
With the approval of the $750-million higher education capital bond in November 2012, Montclair State was ready to take advantage of the funding, with an architect chosen in August 2012 and design approved in March 2013.
It was a sunny day when President Susan Cole and Dean Brent Chrite gathered with local and state officials to ceremonially break ground on the building in September 2013. Since then, with one of the harshest winters in memory, Terminal Construction has persevered with keeping the project on time and on budget, from the time the first concrete was poured in October 2013 and the first steel erected a month later.
Now the building lights the night on the campus, building a vibrant future for more than 3,500 undergraduate and graduate students to receive the education and experience to be tomorrow’s leaders.
