Brenda Connor is the Global Lead for Datavision and Publication Practices within the R&D function at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS). Bristol-Myers Squibb is a global BioPharma company firmly focused on its mission to discover, develop and deliver innovative medicines that help patients prevail over serious diseases.
As the Global Lead for Datavision and Publication Practices, she has global oversight of this capability, which is critical to drive consistency, transparency and efficiency in development of scientific publications throughout BMS. Brenda joined BMS in 1995 and has held several IT and operational/project management roles with increasing levels of responsibility over her tenure at the company.
She has been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) for 10 years and obtained an MBA from Montclair State College in 2007. She also holds undergraduate degrees with a B.S. Business Administration, Concentration in Management Information Systems and an A.A.S. in General Science.
Her unique skills of having performed many years as an IT professional and then moving into the business side of a company makes her perfectly suited to sit on the Montclair Industry-Academic Advisory Board. She is able to share her expectations as a client what business/operational skills IT professionals need to possess, as a way to give back as an MBA alumni of Montclair State, and also to influence the futures of IT/business professionals.
