*In general, STEM programs will include fields involving research, innovation and/or development of new technologies using engineering, mathematics, natural sciences or computer science. STEM designated degree programs can provide extended employment opportunities for international students.
Through a high-quality curriculum taught by distinguished faculty, the MSBA Program is designed to develop the necessary skills for students to be more successful in the increasingly competitive and demanding global economy. Our MS in Business Analytics graduates are well-prepared to succeed across various business functions and in diverse industries and jobs.
In the MSBA program emphasis is placed in the following areas:
- Statistical/Predictive Modeling
- Data Visualization and Management
- Data Mining
- Practical Data Analytics
4+1 BACHELOR’S/ MSBA PROGRAM
The “4 + 1” Bachelors/MSBA is a five year program, during which students will spend three years taking courses required for their chosen bachelor’s degree program and in their fourth year, they will complete (along with required undergraduate program courses) 6 credits worth of graduate MS in Business Analytics (MSBA) coursework. This will satisfy both undergraduate degree requirements and count toward achievement of the MSBA degree.In the fifth year, students will enroll in MSBA coursework in a full-time format.
Students must apply for acceptance into the program in their junior year and will be admitted into the MSBA program in their senior year, if they meet the 3.2 or above cumulative GPA requirement. Students who do not meet 4 + 1 program requirements or who choose not to pursue the MSBA by completing the remaining courses in year five will graduate with a Bachelor’s degree. Students who complete the 5-year program will possess both a Bachelor’s degree in their undergraduate discipline and an MS in Business Analytics (MSBA) degree.

- BA Economics
- Concentration in Asset Management
- BS Business Administration
- Concentration in Finance
- Concentration in Marketing
As enrollees in a 5 year Bachelor’s/MSBA program, students will complete 120 credits of undergraduate courses including 6 credits of MSBA core courses (“swing” courses), and 24 credits of remaining MSBA core coursework for a total of 144 credits.

Step 2: Complete a change of major to designate intent to participate in the 4 + 1 Bachelor’s / MSBA program. Note: You can complete a change of major form after meeting with an MSBA Advisor regarding the 4+1 Bachelor’s / MSBA program.
Step 3: Successfully complete an online foundation module in Basic Statistics (if required)
Step 4: Register for 6 credits of MSBA Swing Courses (two 3-credit classes) in the Spring semester of your senior year.
