The CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Institute has provided important recognition to the Finance program of the Feliciano School of Business at Montclair State University by admitting the program to the CFA’s University Affiliation program. The University Affiliate program recognizes academic institutions that embed a significant portion of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) into their curricula. This recognition provides important validation for the Feliciano School’s current and prospective students and employers that the finance programs are aligned with the prestigious CFA program and provide an excellent foundation for future achievements in the field of finance.
In order to attain this recognition, the Feliciano School of Business revised their existing curriculum and added an additional course to prepare students for the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Exam. The course of study is organized into three levels and each level requires passing a six-hour exam.
Upon graduation Feliciano students take level 1 of the exam. Levels 2 and 3 cannot be taken until a certain level of experience is achieved and the candidate must be sponsored by the company of employment. After passing level 2 and 3 exams, they will achieve the highest designation in the investment management profession – the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
